1956 Ford F-100 Environmentally Friendly Hot Rod Pickup Truck
Steve’s Restorations and Hot Rods’ 1956 Ford F-100 shows that performance and environmental friendliness don’t have to be mutually exclusive, and that you can never have too much brass and copper in the engine bay.
This tricked out F-100 features a liquid propane-powered Ford Racing 460 cu-in. V-8 crate motor that emits close to zero emissions and more horsepower than a similar gasoline engine. Its metallic paint job was done using PPG’s Vibrance Envirobase water-based paint. Other environmentally friendly attributes include nitrogen filled tires by Nokian that were created using "earth-friendly" oils.
Other cool features include: a hydraulic dump box, swivel bucket seats, three DVD screens, a reverse open hood and suicide doors. The truck has handmade copper bedsides, copper interior trim and copper anodized wheels built specifically for this vehicle.
